About Our Rotary Club
Rotary Club of Pune Metro (RCPM) is affiliated to world renowned NGO, Rotary International. Rotary International is present in more than 200 countries with over 12000 sister clubs and a total membership of over 12 lakhs. RCPM belongs to Rotary International’s district 3131.
With the motto of “Service above Self”, club members develop friendship among themselves and at the same time serve the community to alleviate problems of the needy.
Rotary Club of Pune Metro (RCPM) was founded in 1996. The membership of RCPM is currently 60 members who come from various professions and are driven to give back to the society. “Opportunities Open Doors” is the guiding principal that guides our Club activities. Consistent with Rotary International’s area of focus, RCPM also focusses its service activities in following six areas.
- Promoting peace
- Disease Prevention
- Providing Clean Water
- Savings mother & child
- Supporting education
- Growing local economies
RCPM leverages Rotary’s Global network to garner resources for carrying out large impactful projects – Global Grant projects
RCPM’s operations are very transparent and fully compliant with Income Tax & Charity commissioner’s rules. The donations to RCPM qualify under 80G for deduction as per IT Dept. rules.
As our Club steps into its Silver Jubilee year, it is seeking to attain even greater heights. Bigger & more impact making projects; more bonding fellowship events and more effectively projecting Club’s contribution to strengthen Rotary image are some of the focussed initiatives planned in the current year.
